HQ.training vs ABC Trainerize
One price, without the add-ons
Trainerize, owned by ABC Fitness, is a polished personal-training app with a free plan for one client. Above that it prices by client count, with payments, scheduling, video and nutrition as add-ons. HQ costs $19 a month for any number of athletes, with endurance training, recovery data and a store included.

The short version
HQ is the better pick if
- You coach more than a few clients and want one price: Trainerize is $135 a month for 50 on monthly billing, before add-ons.
- Your clients run, ride or race and need targets in watts, heart rate and pace, and a fitness and fatigue chart.
- You want your clients’ training history to stay theirs: Trainerize says workout history and progress can’t be exported.
- You want selling and wearables included rather than added on.
Trainerize is the better pick if
- You coach one or two clients: its free and $10 plans cost less.
- Nutrition coaching is central and you want meal plans and 2,400+ recipes. HQ has targets, habits and a food log, not meal plans.
- You want an app under your own name in the App Store.
- You want an Apple Watch app, challenges and leaderboards, or video calls.
- Clients book one-to-one appointments with you.

What sets them apart
The price at 50 clients
Trainerize Pro 50 is $135 a month on monthly billing. Add payments, the Business add-on and advanced nutrition and it is $215, before Stripe’s fees. HQ is $19, with the store included.
Built for endurance as well
HQ writes intervals by zone, % FTP or pace in each athlete’s own numbers, and charts fitness, fatigue and form from what they did. Trainerize schedules cardio by distance or time.
Whose data it is
Trainerize’s own help center says client workout history, progress statistics, body measurements and adherence can’t be exported, and cancelling drops the account to one client. HQ athletes own a free account, export it as CSV whenever they like, and keep it if they stop working with you.
Where Trainerize is ahead
A free plan for one client, meal plans and recipes, white-label apps, an Apple Watch app, challenges and video calls. If those are your business, it covers more of it today.

Questions
- Is HQ cheaper than Trainerize?
- From 5 clients up, on the published prices: Pro 5 is $25 a month on monthly billing and Pro 15 is $50, before add-ons, and HQ is $19 for any number. For one or two clients, Trainerize’s free and $10 plans cost less.
- Can I bring my Trainerize programs?
- Not as files. Trainerize exports programs only as PDF, so rebuild them in HQ’s builder.
- Does HQ do nutrition?
- Habits, calorie and macro targets and a food log, yes, with MyFitnessPal and other food apps coming in through Apple Health on iPhone. Meal plans and recipes, no.
- Does HQ connect to ABC Glofox or Mindbody?
- No. HQ has its own timetable, memberships and check-in on the Gym & Studio plan, so a gym doesn’t need a second system.
